چکیده

Abstract Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), derived from hepatocytes, is the main histological subtype of primary liver cancer and poses a serious threat to human health due high incidence poor prognosis . This study aimed establish multigene prognostic model predict patients with HCC. Results Gene expression datasets (GSE121248, GSE40873, GSE62232) were used identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between tumor adjacent or normal tissues, then hub screened by protein–protein interaction (PPI) network Cytoscape software. Seventeen among significantly associated construct through COX hazard regression analysis. The predictive performance this was evaluated TCGA data further validated independent dataset GSE14520. Six ( CDKN3, ZWINT, KIF20A, NUSAP1, HMMR, DLGAP5 ) involved in model, which separated HCC into high- low-risk groups. Kaplan–Meier (KM) survival analysis risk score demonstrated that group represented advantage. Univariate multivariate showed could be an factor. receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve there better power than other clinical indicators. At last, results GSE14520 reliability some extent. Conclusion significance for HCC, according may factor traditional

Co-expression network analysis identified six hub genes in association with metastasis risk and prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has a high incidence and mortality worldwide, and its carcinogenesis and progression are influenced by a complex network of gene interactions. A weighted gene co-expression network was constructed to identify gene modules associated with the clinical traits in HCC (n = 214). Among the 13 modules, high correlation was only found between the red module and metastasi...

DNA methylation of tumor suppressor genes in hepatocellular carcinoma

The basic unit of chromatin is a nucleosome included an octamer of the four core histones and 147 base pairs of DNA. Posttranslational histones modifications affect chromatin structure resulting in gene expression changes. CpG islands hypermethylation within the gene promoter regions and the deacetylation of histone proteins are the most common epigenetic modifications. The aberrant patterns of...

Identification of hub genes involved in the development of hepatocellular carcinoma by transcriptome sequencing

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer-related death. The aim of this study was to identify underlying hub genes and dysregulated pathways associated with the development of HCC using bioinformatics analysis. Differentially expressed protein-coding genes were subjected to transcriptome sequencing in 11 pairs of liver cancer tissue and matched adjacent non-cancerous tissue. ...
